A2O’s company culture places high importance on safety beliefs, values and attitudes, with our motto Safety: No Compromise.

A²O have a dedicated Health & Safety Consultant, HAVIO, who work on all areas of our business and visit all sites at least monthly to check compliance. Their duties include:

Oversee Company Heath & Safety Standards
Oversee Project Safety Planning
Conduct Monthly H&S Inspections on all sites throughout each project.
Consultancy Days for additional support for the business.

Prescribed company standards

Both Consultant and Subcontractor Qualifications are checked on appointment and reviewed regularly to flag refresher training.
Compliance and Accreditations are updated, renewed, and re-audited annually.

PRoject Safety Planning

The Estimating Team advise on safest install methods and risk mitigation. Where applicable, they build recommendations into the tender.
The Design Team address any Health & Safety issues for access, buildability, cleaning and maintenance.
The Project Manager creates the Project Safety Plan and reviews the RAMS and COSHH.

SITE SAFETY AUDIT SYSTEM

A Site Set-Up Audit is carried out by the Operations Manager to ensure safety is taken care of from Day One.
Tablet-based, auto-filed Weekly Returns are completed by Site Managers e.g. Site Diary, Site Induction, Plant & Ground Checks.
Monthly H&S Inspections and Incident Management are carried out by Havio. All findings are discussed at the time of the inspection, with a full project report issued to follow.
Havio issue a Monthly KPI Report across all live projects, together with a Newsletter focusing on current priorities.
