Jaguar Land Rover Showroom, Sunbury

Sunbury-on-thames, Surrey

This was a large job for a prestigious brand. The accommodation comprised show rooms, sales offices, a workshop, service and valet bays and customer parking.

JLR Sunbury is a flagship project for one of the UK’s largest manufacturers.
What I appreciated most with A2O is that no matter how difficult things got they would always pick up the phone and make themselves available as part of the Buckingham team who were going to get the project handed over.

There was a steelwork design freeze, prior to A2O’s appointment.

Large cladding voids had to be fire-protected.

When we commenced our design, there was no opportunity to influence the steelwork design. The A2O design team had to provide lightweight galvanised steel solutions for panel support where this was not present on the steel model.

The significant depth of the void behind the A2 Alucobond panels and the Quadcore support panels meant that a bespoke engineered solution had to be designed for closing the cavity. A2O worked with supplier Siderise to engineer a solution.
