Formal Customer Feedback

The local Council was very concerned about the quality of the timber, and wanted a knot-free specification.

The challenge was how to support the timber rainscreen whilst accommodating insulation to achieve the target U-value.

The Council and Main Contractor demanded very high quality standards. A full design service was required, covering all interface details to ensure the installers achieved a high quality finish on site.

The timber cladding support for the Grandstand had to be custom built.

A2O arranged a meeting with timber supplier Norclad to reassure the Council representatives on the quality of the materials.

A2O designed a hybrid aluminium and timber support system for the timber rainscreen. This system ensured water drainage, air flow and adjustment, to suit accurante interfaces with brickwork and glazing.

On World Quality Day, Willmott Dixon held a Quality Day for their site managers at Hoe Valley. Site Manager David Sweeney presented a quality award to Deividas Bardauskas for A2O.

Bespoke details ensured a good fit and accurate interfaces.
